Mountain Music Playlist

The first thought one might have is what the hell is “Mountain Music”? I’m going to define it. “Mountain Music” is the melding of a number of genre’s of music, but there is more. There is a feel to it, a good feel. It’s chill but not really mellow. A vibe that get’s you and your friends heads moving, gets them up out of their seat and gets them moving, dancing at times. Some lyrics are picked up quickly, and there is singing. It is good while at the fire-pit or the fireplace.

Steel Guitar, acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin – all required in my defining of Mountain Music.

I pretty much live in the Mountains now. There is a lot of live music that one will come across up high, especially in a ski town. One experiences rock, alternative, singer/songwriter, country, bluegrass, folk, and more. But the feel, the vibe, of Mountain Music is known to me when I hear it. And the songs on this playlist have been tested with a great group of friends. In a somewhat outrageous way, for 5 days, it was the only playlist they wanted to hear. At their request I have made this available to all. My wife, “Love”, has proclaimed it to be my best playlist yet. These are big words.

I would be extremely impressed if anyone knows all the songs, or even all the bands, on this list. It brings me happiness to expand peoples musical experiences and even though I don’t have a lot of traffic on this website, hopefully I’m helping out some of the musicians, and songwriters, of this playlist too by giving them some exposure.

I’ve been told by some of my closest subscribers, this one is my best playlist yet.

May the Vibe be with you Friends, Enjoy!

A note of Caution has been suggested by the test group: This Playlist Will Cause Excessive Partying…Listener Beware!

This is my test group for the “Mountain Music” playlist reveal. I’m sure they are only drinking tea and coffee. That is Zane and Lane behind them, our sleigh ride horses. We had a blast, the playlist was INSTRUMENTAL…

As always, Spotify and Amazon playlists are embedded. Once you hit the list, you can login and play from your own account. Otherwise, it’s going to play for 30 seconds and go to the next song. Copy to your favorites if you like it. Shuffle Mode a good idea for this one.

In Memory Of Dead Bob Playlist

This is for you Bob. For the rest of you – It’s going to be different. I think that’s Bob doing a Bowie impersonation. I never realized that until today. The Stranglers. And Jim Carroll…
