Hi – I’m Brian. I started this website just to share some ideas on various thoughts I have on some particularly special areas of my life. Areas that I am passionate about. I could have easily done this on a few social media sites but I like to tinker with technology and thought it would be nice to have my own website. Being a somewhat anal engineer, making your own website is time consuming. I started this website during the Coronavirus Lockdown of 2020.

I spent my career in high tech – specifically semiconductors as an electrical engineer. I started in design and over the course of time ran up the ladder to the executive team. It’s relevant to this website as I’ve lived high tech my whole life.

I’m a father and husband. It’s important to me to be a good father and husband. I try. This could become relevant to the Ideas pages.

Most popular area of the website is the playlists. I started playing the piano in 1967, the organ in 1977, trained classical musician, favored progressive rock, and was playing New Age before New Age was a thing. Started with the synths in 1985 (?), first home studio in 2000ish. You get the pic – it’s a part of my life. I LOVE MUSIC. Listening. Playing. Creating. Favorite instrument: Still my (Steinway) piano. It’s just so easy to play vs the studio (time consuming). I also listen to a ton of genres – no prejudice on the decades – they are all good. I try to be my people’s ears – I listen all the time, find the synergy/feel/vibe for the occasion – and I assemble playlists. When I think they are done, mature, ready – They get posted here. Some are in the works for years. It seems my people like them.

My wife, friends, and I go to tons of concerts every year. Up in Montana where I live we go to a lot of free concerts. But we travel for them too – furthest trip – Croatia to see Judas Priest…Ohanafest almost every year…LA, Vegas, San Fran, CT, etc you get the pic. That might be an interesting resume but – Try out the playlists and let me know.

The Music Studio is where the Originals come from. The tech changes, advances, gets more complex sometimes simpler but my engineering background coupled with my music skill allows me to traverse this realm. I read music, write music, create music and understand at the same time how every piece of equipment works and needs to jell. I’m an improviser and if something comes out good on the Steinway, I try to get to the studio and capture it. And then time might standstill for hours upon hours upon hours. Questions: ask – it might turn into a post.

And my other passions generating content here. I’m an avid outdoorsman living in outdoorsman heaven in Montana. Fishing Hunting, Loving Everyday. Favorites: Backpacking, Hiking, Hunting, Fishing, Skiing, Snowshoeing.

And last: I’ve been cooking in a kitchen (or helping) since probably 1967 also. Italian mother. I like to cook. I often cook what I kill…the recipes trend towards that. And lastly – I’m an ex-wine-snob. Love them all from all over the world but to me the key to wine is what you are eating with it.
