I’m starting out with my 88.5 Playlist. What is that? you might ask. Well I’m privileged to have locally the FM 88.5 station at my disposal in Ocean Breeze Country. FM 88.5 is a non-commercial, eclectic mix of music that fits well within my “off the beaten path” theme here. The playlist will hit both the retro and the new. At FM 88.5 they play music. And that’s pretty much all they do – And it often talks to me.
I saw Manchester Orchestra in 2022 at Ohanafest. Not your normal “Manchester Orchestra” because live at this concert they were absolute Heavy Metal! Khruangbin played that same festival and were inspiring, in fact inspired Modern Western.
So – here is a list of music I captured off of FM 88.5 that needed to be captured and combined. This list, like many I create, is a good vibe for a gathering. I trend toward easy listening, not too intense, background blends, and pleasant.
I’m going to take the opportunity to promote the station to all of you out there in the nether nether land. FM 88.5 Rocks! Just coincidentally, I happen to have had more opportunity with my driving trends to listen to Nic Harcourt on this station; Best of the best out there if you have the time to listen in.
