Dream Pop is a Genre that I discovered in the past year. It’s pleasant, airy, and addictive.  The vocals are breathy, the guitars are typically heavily processed, and you will find a nice mix of synth lines and effects. My entry into this sub-genre of Alternative/Indie started by total chance when I found a song titled “Space Song” while searching for “Beach Music”. I ‘hit’ the band Beach House, which will need more verbiage, description, review, and promotion in the future for the greater good of my readers: Beach House is Awesomeness with a fantastic sound and some great poetry. 

The playlist then expanded as I discovered Dream Pop, an evolution to other unheard of bands, but bands with a similar vibe, beat, pace, and just all around pleasantness to listen to. 

This one is a favorite of friends for the frequent gatherings while enjoying The Ocean Breeze at our house. It is more likely than not that friends ask me “What are we listening to? Is it a station or a playlist?” Damn Right – made by yours truly my friend…And not only that but for your convenience here it is at Amazon and Spotify. My advice; Just throw in on and let it play out in the background. Great for gatherings, intimate settings, while reading, working, etc etc etc. 

 I’ve been refining this one for more than a year and I’m calling it “Done” with 100 songs.  As always, the theme is to add some of the old, the retro, to the new to explore the pedigree, the DNA. Maybe Dream Pop had some roots from back in the day? – Of Course It Does!
